The Brixi Wedding Choir behind the altar at a wedding

The Brixi Singers are happy to sing at weddings,  both in churches and in non-religious settings.  They have a wealth of experience,  and can advise on items that would add to your Day.  If there is a special piece that has meaning for you,  we can perform that for you.  Our repertoire includes sacred and secular music. Generally,  we will sing for the 15 minutes before the bride arrives,  to set the scene. We will then sing the hymns,  if the wedding is in a church,  or other community songs,  if in a non-religious setting.  We will sing during the Signing of the Register,  and will sing again as the happy couple leave,  if that is their wish.   As an example,  we have included the items we have sung in recent weddings.

Wedding in December

Before the service,  the Brixi Singers sang carols and sacred seasonal christmas music for 15 minutes,  which included O Holy Night,  and Sweet Little Jesus Boy.  During the service,  the congregation were bolstered by the Brixi Singers,  as they sang Joy to the World,  and Deck the Halls with boughs of Holly.  During the Signing of the Register,  the Brixi Singers and congregation sang "Jerusalem".  The happy couple left to the old Beatles hit "All You Need is Love",  rendered by the Brixi Singers,  and several guests,  who joined in enthusiastically.

Wedding in August

Before the service,  the Brixi Singers sang for 15 minutes,  which included Bruckner's Ave Maria.  During the service,  the congregation were bolstered by the Brixi Singers,  as they sang "By your steadfast love",  and "I watch the sunrise lighting the sky".  During the Signing of the Register,  the Brixi Singers sang two pieces arranged by John Rutter,  "For the beauty of the earth",  and "All things bright and beautiful".  The happy couple left to the traditional Wedding March by Mendelssohn.
