The Brixi Singers are limited by their Constitution
to 25 singers.
We currently have vacancies for 3 males, tenor or bass. We have no vacancies
for female singers.
Singers interested are normally invited along to 4 rehearsals - we rehearse
on Sunday nights, 7.30pm - 9.30pm, in Bolton. At the end of the 4 rehearsals, there is then a confidential audition.
This will involve, among other things, sight-reading a solo piece, and sight-reading a quartet piece,
with 3 other members of the choir taking the other 3 parts.
It sounds rather daunting,
but the upside is the opportunity to join an exceptional choir with very high standards. And the possibility of singing in
some very prestigious venues - we have sung in Notre Dame in Paris, Brussels Cathedral, the Menin Gate at Ypres, Merton
College Chapel in Oxford, amongst others.
